Making mobility in Hamburg more sustainable, step by step

One year ago, Daimler Financial Services CEO Klaus Entenmann signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the former Mayor of Hamburg, Olaf Scholz. The memorandum is about a comprehensive partnership regarding urban mobility, with the aim to gradually switch to sustainable mobility. Now, Daimler delivers the first Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL vehicles to Hamburg.

As a partner to cities, we provide new and innovative mobility solutions. These should be efficient, environmentally friendly and providing better life quality. We have therefore entered into a close partnership with the City of Hamburg, which includes the electrification of all areas of individual, transport and local public transport, the car2go fleet, as well as cooperations for mobile platform solutions such as moovel.

Daimler is a pioneer in new mobility services. More than 26 million customers use our services, from car sharing and ride-hailing to mobility as a service. We are convinced that car sharing plays a decisive role in the breakthrough of electric mobility. With Hamburg, we have another strong partner for the electrification of urban mobility alongside Stuttgart, Madrid and Amsterdam.
