Klaus Entenmann named new Chairman of Daimler Financial Services AG succeeding Juergen Walker
Klaus Entenmann (53) has been named the new Chairman of Daimler Financial Services AG with effect from December 16, 2009. Entenmann is currently Member of the Daimler Financial Services Board of Management responsible for the Americas Region as well as President and CEO of Daimler Financial Services Americas. He succeeds Juergen Walker (60) whose contract is ending as scheduled.
Jürgen Walker started his career at Mercedes-Benz more than 30 years ago in his hometown Sindelfingen. As Senior Vice President he made a significant contribution to the product campaigns of Mercedes-Benz in the 1990s. After the Merger of Daimler and Chrysler he was one of the first German managers to join the Chrysler Group in the United States. In 1999 he took over the position as Senior Vice President and Controller of the Chrysler Group. In 2001 Jürgen Walker was appointed President and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Services in North America. In December 2004 he took over the position as Chairman of the Board of Management at Daimler Financial Services AG which is located in Berlin, Germany, and has companies in more than 40 countries.
In the last 5 years as Chairman of Daimler Financial Services, Jürgen Walker has successfully positioned the Financial Services division in the market. He quickly formed a powerful Financial Services business after the separation from Chrysler and navigated the company very experienced through the crisis in recent times. Klaus Entenmann, the successor of Jürgen Walker, has more than 25 years experience in the financial services business. Successor of Klaus Entenmann will be Franz Reiner (42), currently responsible for Mercedes-Benz Financial in the USA and the financial services operations in Canada. Franz Reiner will be a Board of Management Member in Daimler Financial Services AG responsible for the Americas region with effect from December 16, 2009. He will also head the Daimler Financial Services companies in the U.S.A. as well as Canada.
