"Giving people a better future" is the guiding principle behind the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Automotive Academy, which was jointly founded by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and the Peace Park Foundation (PPF) in South Africa.
The aim of the initiative is to provide vocational training for socially disadvantaged young people from the local area.
The Automotive Academy is located in the Great Limpopo National Park, on the premises of the Southern African Wildlife College. The park is situated in the border region between South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The region is home to more than four million people, many of whom live in difficult conditions. Jobs are scarce and are generally only available in the mining and tourism sectors.
